Is Coaching the same as therapy?
Therapy saved my life and I’m a huge fan. In my experience, the difference between therapy and my coaching is that coaching is very forward-looking. Although the past informs the present, the focus of my coaching is to guide you to a better future.
- Therapy can take time, coaching can take minutes. The minute you decide, everything around you changes
- Coaching is for people that are ready to make a change and want to drive instead of being a passenger in their life
- Therapy is critical for clinical depression, suicidal thoughts, and other medical conditions

how aM I different?
There are so many coaches out there, how do you decide? My journey is several decades of being a business leader in some great companies, working full time as a single mother, extricating myself from some toxic relationships, and deciding how I wanted to live after surviving my years of cancer and the sadness that came after it.
My style is straight-forward, kind, and pointed. I strongly believe that our lives are our own to live. We need help to figure out what matters to us, to get clear on our values and motivations, then taking steps to move our life towards the life we really want.
It didn’t matter that I didn’t want a cancer diagnosis, or to need to work while really wanting to raise my kids, or a million other anxieties. All that mattered was that I started to dream, and take purposeful guided action, and slowly pieces started to fall into place. It took me decades of therapy, retreat weekends, trainings and certification. Now, I want to help people get there quickly and easily, with joy and peace.
What’s your education?
I have a combination of university and specialized training. I have two undergraduate degrees from University of California, Santa Barbara, in Business Economics and Communication Studies, with an emphasis on small group and organizational communication.
I have my masters degree from University of Colorado, focused on International Business.
I am a trained organizational facilitator using the XCHANGE methodology, which is based in Appreciative Inquiry. I love to help offsite meetings be more than just a readout from each person present. Ditch the slides and let’s drive some authentic conversations that uncover the collective wisdom of the group.
I have a master level coaching certification in Mindpower Coaching, by Success Training Company. Based on the best of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Timeline Therapy, this method gives the fastest results of all coaching that I personally tried. It was a game changer for me, and I’m very proud to offer this coaching to all of you.
who is your ideal client?
My ideal client is anyone ready to try something different because they are ready for their life to be a better version of their best lifedifferent. They are willing to look at their life without judgment, for clues as to what is working and not working for them. Together, we choose the tools that are most relevant for them. Then, they try the tools and techniques and we talk about outcomes.
Everyone can have the life they want, the minute they decide to have it. If you cling to the story of why you can’t, that is the life you’ll have.
What do you want instead? Let’s help you get there, because every little step you take slowly moves you towards your best life.
